Improving Life On Our Planet Using Insights From The Stratosphere

Our solar-powered, remotely piloted stratospheric aircraft will fly continuously for months to collect aerial imagery that fills your data gap with more accessible intelligence.

We’re creating sustainable aerospace technology for the benefit of people and the planet.

Our Stratospheric Journey

You can’t solve a problem you can’t see. Making it easier to measure, conserve and improve.

Reaching The Stratosphere And Beyond

Kea Aerospace is currently flight-testing prototype aircraft in New Zealand. We are designing and flying a range of aircraft before we start building the first full-size Kea Atmos, which we will operate as a High Altitude Platform Station (HAPS) and High Altitude Long Endurance (HALE) aircraft. For our latest flight test updates, view our News & Events page and also see current projects.

Led by industry visionaries with a track record of world-leading innovation, Kea Aerospace is on a mission to make aerial imagery more accessible. Founded in 2018 in Christchurch, New Zealand, we’re proud to be an early participant of New Zealand’s Airspace Integration Trials programme run by the Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment. We are a research partner with the University of Canterbury and co-founders of the industry body Aerospace New Zealand
